What cleaner, greener way to fill up your electric vehicle, than using electricity generated from solar photovoltaic panels?
Whether you already have solar PV on your roof, or are planning to install some soon, we can install an electric vehicle charger that will suit your set-up. Such chargers typically have an eco mode, which can be set up to trickle charge a vehicle only with surplus electricity. Rather than letting it flow to the grid during periods of generation, the smart charger will divert the electricity to charge the vehicle’s battery.
Pictured here is a recent installation on the garage wall of a home in Cowbridge, south Wales. The Zappi charger from MyEnergi is a British made charger, designed from the outset to work well with solar PV installations, and is suitable for every type of modern EV.
Alternatively, the charger can be used in its regular mode, to top up the vehicle battery at its normal rate, which for a domestic property will be 7kw, and up to 22kw for a commercial property or workplace charger.
